When We Are Closed

For urgent medical conditions outside surgery hours that cannot wait till the next morning please telephone 111

This is a free number from landlines and mobile phones.

This will enable you to contact the local Emergency Care Centre. You can either get advice from a doctor by phone or you may need to attend the Emergency Care Centre at Louth County Hospital. If appropriate and after telephone assessment, an Emergency Care Practitioner may visit you at home.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
